O WhatsApp lançou recentemente uma nova camada de segurança que permite restringir conversas específicas com senha ou uso de biometria. A função “Trancar Conversa” separa o chat para uma pasta protegida, fora da visualização da caixa de entrada.
Depois de oculto, as conversas protegidas param de receber notificações na tela do celular, evitando o vazamento de mensagens particulares.
A empresa pretende implementar outras formas de autenticação em breve, como a opção de criar senhas individuais para cada conversa.
A ferramenta “Trancar Conversa” está disponível na última versão do WhatsApp. Com o app instalado, o usuário terá que selecionar o contato ou grupo que deseja ocultar e escolher a opção “proteger conversa”.
Em seguida, basta escolher “Bloquear este chat com impressão digital/senha” para ativar a função e confirmar a escolha com a autentição.
Para visualizar as conversas, o usuário terá que validar a entrada no chat privado, que estará armazenado na pasta “Conversas bloqueadas”.
O WhatsApp é considerado o principal aplicativo de troca de mensagens do planeta. Ele foi criado em janeiro de 2009 pelos engenheiros Brian Acton e Jan Koum.
Além de mandar mensagem escritas, os usuários do WhatsApp podem enviar áudios, vídeos, documentos, fotos e fazer chamadas de vídeo com outras pessoas. Também é possível utilizá-lo pelo computador.
Em fevereiro de 2014, o Facebook se tornou dono do WhatsApp, em um negócio que custou US$19 bilhões para a rede social fundada por Mark Zuckerberg.
Apesar de sua imensa popularidade – conta com mais de dois bilhões de usuários, segundo dados de fevereiro de 2020 – o WhatsApp também se tornou alvo de algumas polêmicas, especialmente a respeito da propagação de fake news e algumas falhas de segurança.
O WhatsApp pode ser baixado por usuários dos sistemas operacionais iOS e Android.
