Foi publicada no Diário Oficial da União (DOU) desta quarta-feira (24) a resolução da Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa) que proíbe os cigarros eletrônicos, reformulada na última sexta-feira (19).
O texto reforça a proibição sobre fabricação, importação, comercialização, distribuição, armazenamento, transporte e propaganda de Dispositivos Eletrônicos para Fumar (DEFs), como vapes e pods no país. Ainda define os DEFs como todo “produto fumígeno cuja geração de emissões é feita com auxílio de um sistema alimentado por eletricidade, bateria ou outra fonte não combustível, que mimetiza o ato de fumar”.
Aberta em 2019, a reavaliação das regras referentes aos famosos vapes foi aprovada, apenas, na última sexta-feira. Isso porque, segundo a Anvisa, existia a necessidade de entender de forma mais densa os estudos sobre o uso dos cigarros eletrônicos e os impactos da proibição.
No fim de 2023, o órgão abriu consulta pública a fim de compreender a posição da sociedade civil diante da proposta que sugeria a continuidade da proibição. Com 13,9 mil respostas, 58,8% se posicionaram a favor da liberação do dispositivo, enquanto 37,4% concordavam com o veto; 3,7% não responderam.
