A Câmara dos Deputados aprovou uma medida que promete alterar significativamente o cenário das compras internacionais no Brasil: o fim da isenção federal para compras de até US$ 50, aproximadamente R$ 260, no câmbio atual.
Com a nova decisão, as remessas internacionais passarão a pagar uma alíquota federal de 20% e o ICMS estadual de 17%. Essa mudança faz parte de um projeto mais amplo do governo, que também inclui incentivos para a indústria de veículos sustentáveis (Mover), uma das prioridades do Ministério da Indústria e Comércio, liderado pelo vice-presidente Geraldo Alckmin. O principal objetivo dessa medida é reduzir as taxas de emissão de carbono da indústria automobilística até 2030.
A aprovação da medida veio após intensas negociações entre o presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) e o Congresso, resultando em um acordo intermediário entre manter a isenção e aplicar uma alíquota padrão de 60%.
O relator do projeto, Átila Lira (PP), ressaltou que a isenção fiscal estava causando preocupação na indústria nacional, ameaçando empregos e vários negócios no país. De acordo com ele, o objetivo da medida é estabelecer um ambiente de negócios mais equitativo e competitivo, enquanto promove práticas sustentáveis na indústria.
Embora o projeto de lei não mencione, empresas como Aliexpress, Shein e Shopee serão significativamente afetadas pelas novas alíquotas. Essas plataformas, populares entre os consumidores brasileiros, podem enfrentar um aumento nos preços dos produtos vendidos no Brasil.
Com a conclusão da votação na Câmara, a medida segue para o Senado.
