O futebol mundial tem suas lendas, entretanto poucas são tão marcantes quanto a brasileira Marta Vieira da Silva. A Rainha do futebol, seis vezes vencedora do prêmio FIFA The Best, escreveu mais uma vez o seu nome na história. Dessa vez, a camisa 10 da equipe brasileira se tornou a primeira jogadora ainda em atividade a ser imortalizada pela entidade máxima do futebol.
Assim como Puskás, Marta agora dará nome ao prêmio que reconhecerá as mulheres que marcarem o gol mais bonito. Até este ano, homens e mulheres concorriam a categoria juntos.
“É muito difícil subir nesse palco. Eu já venci esse prêmio seis vezes, mas isso aqui é sem dúvida algo muito mais especial, difícil até de encontrar palavras, mas eu quero que assim como eu estou enxergando nessa homenagem, eu quero que todas as mulheres possam também enxergar um futuro promissor”, afirmou a Rainha do Futebol durante a cerimônia.
Apesar de ter se despedido oficialmente das Copas do Mundo em 2023, a Rainha do Futebol continua brilhando nos gramados no Orlando Pride, nos Estados Unidos, e busca disputar mais uma edição dos Jogos Olímpicos de Paris.
Além das quatro linhas, a alagoana da cidade de Dois Riachos, é embaixadora da ONU Mulheres e participa ativamente de projetos voltados para outras questões sociais.
