A Prefeitura Municipal de Abaetetuba, na gestão da Prefeita Francineti Carvalho, por meio da Secretaria de Educação, na figura do seu titular, Professor Jefferson Felgueiras, foi contemplada pelo Projeto Hora da Leitura. Mais uma conquista da gestão do Governo Cuidando de Todos, fato recorrente para a Prefeita Francineti, que têm em seu histórico político, diversos títulos como o Selo UNICEF, de prefeita amiga da criança.
Uma criação do Instituto Oldemburg de Desenvolvimento (IOD), que promove ações de incentivo à leitura e escrita, o Projeto Hora da Leitura consiste na realização de uma série de workshops motivacionais para gestores públicos, como forma de incentivar e desenvolver a prática da leitura no início da vida escolar da criança, de forma com que esse hábito venha a criar mecanismos que auxiliem no desenvolvimento intelectual das futuras gerações.
O workshop foi apresentado à equipe da Secretaria de Educação, nesta quarta-feira (29) e, contou com a ilustre presença do Presidente da Câmara dos Vereadores de Abaetetuba, vereador Aluísio Corrêa, o qual pontuou a relevância dessas conquistas para o município e elogiou a iniciativa.
O evento de apresentação buscou nortear quanto às atividades a serem desenvolvidas pela secretaria de educação e, o cronograma de execução do projeto, visto que o município de Abaetetuba será o primeiro contemplado de todo o estado a receber a implantação de um total de 4 Salas de Leitura, com cerca de mil livros de todos os gêneros literários, além de obras científicas e sociais, em suas escolas, ao longo deste ano. O objetivo principal do workshop foi de divulgar as ações do IOD e as atividades do projeto Hora da Leitura, além de reforçar a importância desta atividade sociocultural e educativa na integração e no fortalecimento do binômio escola-comunidade.
O projeto é financiado pelo Ministério da Cultura, no âmbito da Lei Rouanet e, para conquistá-lo foi necessário o cumprimento de diversas exigências técnicas por parte da Secretaria de Educação. No Pará, apenas dois municípios, Abaetetuba e Cametá, foram contemplados; o que é motivo de orgulho para o secretário de educação de Abaetetuba, Jefferson Felgueiras, o qual salientou a importância de tais instrumentos pedagógicos e equipamentos sociais, na formação cultural, intelectual e desenvolvimento de nossa sociedade.
