No início deste ano, o governador Helder Barbalho (MDB) assinou um ofício que decretou que a data fosse considerada ponto facultativo. Além de informar que o dia 31 também será facultado e os dias serão compensados com o acréscimo de uma hora à jornada diária normal de trabalho, nos seis dias úteis subsequentes aos dias facultados.
