Por que a Semana Santa é tão importante?
Neste domingo (9), conhecido como Domingo de Ramos. A data faz memória à entrada de Jesus em Jerusalém, cidade onde a bíblia relata sua morte de cruz e ressurreição. A Semana Santa se estende até o Sábado Santo quando se celebra a Vigília Pascal.
Para muitos, um feriado; para outros, uma devoção; para o comércio, oportunidades fantásticas de vendas; para outros ainda, um momento especial de meditação, oração e renovação da fé. E para você, o que significa “viver a semana santa”?
Eis o sentido do que significa “viver a Semana Santa”: fazer memória do mistério do amor de Deus que se manifestou na entrega confiante de Jesus ao Pai, até a morte na cruz, por fidelidade à sua missão. Mais ainda, significa celebrar o mistério
do amor de Deus que sustentou Jesus em seu calvário e o ressuscitou, o glorificou, o fez sentar-se à sua direita, constituindo-o Cristo, Messias e Senhor. “Nisto está o amor, não em que nós tenhamos amado a Deus, mas em que ele nos amou a nós, e enviou seu Filho para propiciação pelos nossos pecados.” 1 João 4:10.
“Viver a Semana Santa” significa fazer memória destas ações maravilhosas de Deus. Mais, saber que estamos “revivendo” todos estes fatos.
O caminho da quaresma passa pelo coração, e como seguidores de Jesus somos chamados a retornar a Deus.
Que nuca venhamos esquecer que Jesus ressuscitou ao terceiro dia e venceu a morte!
