Érika de Souza Vieira Nunes, a sobrinha de Paulo Roberto Braga, de 68 anos, conhecido como “Tio Paulo”, que teria sido levado morto a uma agência bancária no Rio de Janeiro na última terça-feira (16), teria sido agredida dentro do presídio de Benfica, segundo a advogada de defesa dela.
A acusada foi presa após levar o idoso em uma cadeira de rodas para tentar sacar um empréstimo de R$ 17 mil em uma agência bancária de Bangu, na zona oeste do RJ. A suspeita é de que ela tentava simular uma assinatura para receber os valores.
“Erika sofreu represálias dentro da prisão. Ela me relatou que assim que ela chegou a Benfica, jogaram água e comida nela”, contou a advogada Ana Carla de Souza Corrêa em entrevista. Pedi o seguro, e ela está resguardada, graças a Deus”, acrescentou a defensora.
A advogada esteve no velório e no enterro do corpo de Tio Paulo, em uma cerimônia simples no cemitério de Campo Grande. A família conseguiu o sepultamento gratuito, um benefício da Prefeitura do Rio para quem alega não ter condições de arcar com os custos fúnebres.
Ainda segundo a advogada, Erika só percebeu que o tio havia morrido quando equipes do Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu) chegaram à agência bancaria e atestaram o óbito.
