A Secretaria de Esporte e Lazer confirmou a realização dos Jogos Abertos do Pará 2023, e já deu o start na construção do cronograma de visitas técnicas aos municípios que podem ser polo-sede de microrregiões, na décima segunda edição deste evento esportivo.
O Joapa é um evento esportivo promovido pelo Governo do Estado, por meio de sua Secretaria de Esporte e Lazer (Seel), que reúne, tradicionalmente, seis modalidades do esporte amador: Basquetebol, Futsal, Futebol de Areia, Handebol, Voleibol e Tênis de mesa. Sempre com o objetivo de incentivar a prática esportiva em todo o território paraense.
Desde o mês de abril, coordenadores da Seel estão realizando vistoria técnica nos municípios, a equipe já passou por Cametá e Rio Maria. Estas visitas servem principalmente, para que os técnicos verifiquem as condições estruturais disponíveis que o município pode oferecer para receber os participantes durante os jogos.
O projeto Jogos Abertos do Pará foi criado em 2005 com o objetivo de promover ações do Governo do Estado, por meio do fomento ao esporte amador nos municípios paraenses, promovendo a melhoria da qualidade de vida da sociedade, bem como a valorização da identidade local, contribuindo com o desenvolvimento de valores sociais, através de preceitos que orientam, disciplinam o comportamento humano, permitindo que a população paraense participe e integre eventos esportivos em suas regiões.
A Seel destaca que em 2023, a forma de disputa será como no ano anterior, com os jogos sendo realizados na seguinte dinâmica: primeira fase regional com a participação de municípios das diversas microrregiões do estado. Já na última fase, a estadual, irão disputar os municípios classificados na fase anterior.
Segundo o governo do estado, o início dos XII Jogos Abertos do Pará deve acontecer já na segunda quinzena de maio.
